In addition, network segmentation can prevent external users from gaining access to internal data resources, while multi-factor authentication can be used to authenticate users who need to access the cloud environment for their daily workloads. The use of encryption technologies and data loss prevention solutions is also recommended to ensure that sensitive data is protected against accidental loss or theft.
